Elective PTE Tax Form Now Available
February 21, 2024
The Elective Pass Through Entity Tax Form (EPT-100) is now available to file for Tax Year 2023. Again for this tax year, the EPT-100 must be filed online through the Division's MyTaxes web portal which can be found at: mytaxes.wvtax.gov. We anticipate future years will be available through practitioner software (if those companies so elect). The filing deadline is March 15th and may be extended to September 15th by filing a PTE-100EXT. Taxpayers should be reminded, an extension to file is not an extension to pay the tax due. Taxpayers and preparers are also reminded that there is no longer a need to file the election form - the filing of an EPT-100 or PTE-100 return will indicate your election for Tax Year 2023. Once filed, the election cannot be revoked for that tax year. For more information on the Elective Pass Through Entity Tax, please visit our website at tax.wv.gov. If you have a question that is not answered on our webpage, please log in to MyTaxes and ask the question via your EPT account, or contact Taxpayer Services toll-free at 1 (800) 982-8297 or (304) 558-3333 or via email at TaxHelp@WV.Gov.
